Crane &
Tender

| A Walthers HO crane was
the basis for this conversion. The platform was widened and the stirrups
were made of floral wire. The balancing feet are styrene and a
screw. The white
bar is for the crew to raise and lower the foot. Body is built from scribed styrene. The operator is
from a 1/48 scale tow motor kit. The boom and details are stock
Walthers. |

| The tender is built on a Tyco 40'
HO flatcar.
The shed is built from individual pieces of styrene,
overlapped to look like shiplap. They were spaced unevenly on
purpose. The
tool box lids are cardboard. Roof is sandpaper. The door is
scribed wood with a straight pin head for a knob. The "White Pass
and Yukon" lettering was some I had made for me by Rail Graphics. |
