Odds and Engines

Steam Engine- 4-6-2 built from an old LifeLike HO model.
A PSC cab, light, and bell were added.
Widened walkways built from styrene, handrails
from floral wire.

The tender was left at HO width
and had an oil bunker, filler hatch,
  ladder, and light added. CDS
  dry transfers.

Upper Left : my version of a self
contained power unit made from an
Athearn motor and power truck.
Upper Right: an HO diesel body being converted.
Left: my version of a Swiss railcar.

An Athearn SW-7 body being converted to On30". The finished engine body was put on a powered chassis and sent to my friend in Texas.

 Rail Motor

My first and only effort at building a variation of a Galloping Goose. Made from an Ertl 1935 chevy pickup, Bowser HO tender truck, Tyco power truck, scratchbuilt box body and platform; pilot built out of styrene with a brass headlight.

The backside, showing the crudeness of construction, the weathering on the body, and the red warning lantern balancing precariously in its place. The exhaust pipe made from brass tubing.

Here is the motor disassembled. It always did just set together. The guts from the Tyco drive were removed as it never ran very well.
