Turntable

This project started out with a Heljan HO turntable.
The pit was painted to highlight the stonework. 
The steel bridge and details were discarded,
but the bearings were retained. Meccano parts
and the Heljan N scale turntable motor were to be used
to rotate the table.

Built from 1/4" square basswood, scale ties, 
Atlas Code 100 rail, G scale turnbuckles,
and braided steel cord. Straight pins were
used to form a solid bond between the wood parts.
